Counseling does not have to be uncomfortable.
My name is Julie C. Kull and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I draw from multiple styles of therapy but I find that Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is most effective for anxiety and depression because it takes a pragmatic and solution-focused approach to help clients identify disruptive patterns of thinking and behavior. With Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, clients often experience immediate changes since a key to this approach is to use current, everyday situations to bring about small, but continuous, change. We will start where you are at.
What is it like to work with me?
Counseling is about creating a trusted relationship to bring about change. Counseling is a collaborative effort and we will work together to develop a plan that addresses your unique goals and create strategies that you can begin using immediately. As I learn from you and you learn from me, we will modify and evolve your plan. I believe that an essential component of effective counseling is a good “fit” between therapist and client. I offer a free 15 minute consultation to discuss your needs and to share my approach. If it is not the right fit, I will assist in finding someone who is.
